slice tool pops

i was recently editing some drum tracks that i did and was cleaning up some of the double bass parts that were sloppy. some of the hits were to far apart and some were to close, so what i did was use the slice(scissor) tool and cut the hits that were off and moved them accordingly. however i noticed that when i played it back i could hear pops on just about every spot that i made an edit. anyone have any experience with this problem?

i did a search for it and that seems like it might be that answer to my question. however, i cant seem to find the button to activate it. i have a button for snap but i dont think thats it. i am running LE right now, so is this option not availble on LE?
 
Did you try "snap to" zero crossing? Are these stereo files or is it also happening in mono?

I don't have LE so I couldn't tell you if it's limited or not.
