Slaving an amp

I currently have a Mackie 808m powered mixer that runs 2 JBL SF25 speakers. Apparently I need more power to push them, so I'm considering getting an additional power amp (something cheap like a Behringer) to beef it up. Good idea? Does that just work by going line out from the mixer line out jack to the power amp, then the speakers out from that? Thanks!

Feed power amp from mixer line out.

You can then use mixer speaker outputs for another set of speakers
