Skips in Playback!

Addled but happy
When I go to record a new track, the playback skips, cutting out for a few seconds at a time.

I have read the ntrack help files and adjusted the buffering, rendered tracks, etc., but am still having a problem.

Could this have something to do w/my soundcard? I am just using the one that came w/my PC (HP Pavillion). I don't even know what it is or how to find this out. Any suggestions?! It's pissing me off!

Try listing some more specifics, such as amount of RAM, no. of hard disks, speed of hard disks, OS etc.

Actually fuck it, just post this in the Computer Recording and Soundcards forum...there are some good heads there, and this problem has more to do with your PC setup than n-track, I'll warrant.

Nathan is probably right.This seems to be an issue of the optimization of your pc.Here are some tips.
