Singing in a 2x4 room

and i was wondering if
there's a problem of recording vocals in a 2x4 room.

should i rap 2 or 3 feet from the mic or closer than 1 feet...

Is that a 2'x4' room or a room made of 2x4s?

Either way, the term I'm looking for is "acoustic foam"... as in the room had better be pretty much covered with it or else you'll get so much reflection that it will sound horrible.
