I'm coming back to recording for the first time in 2 years and i'm trying to re-hook up my stuff but this time to a Macbook instead of a PC. I was using Acid Screenblast to mix, but now I'm giving Garage Band a shot because it's free. The set up I have is a CAD M179 being run into a Behringer Eurorack with 12 tracks. The main output for that is then run into a USB converter which plugs into my Mac. I can get the sound input no sweat and I can record like the good ole days, but the problem I'm having is getting it to simultaneously playback what is going through the input, so I can hear what I'm doing as I'm doing it through the headphones. My USB converter is a Edirol UA-1A and it has 2 inputs and 2 outputs. Any suggestions?
