Hi everyone..
Martin here.. Nice to meet all of you you..
Been a pro musican / singer for 22 years now. Have an Ensoniq ASR-10 and a Roland Fantom X6..

I do all my own backing etc , but I've never used computers to do it.. Always used the onboard sequencers, effects, sampling etc on my keyboards...

Recently got into the world of Cubase , Reason etc and have now got Acid Pro 7..

In Acid Pro7 , all I want to do, is place a guitar riff i have on my computer, and play it a few semi-tones lower , without affecting the speed... Timestrech on the Fantom X6..

The Fantom's timestrech is quite good, but no-where near as good as Acid..

Once the guitar riff is playing at the correct pitch, speed etc , I can then sample it and have it in my Fantom's sequencer....

Just cant do it haha... When i place it in Acid, it plays at a different speed by default, thus lowering the quality...

Could anyone please tell me step by step, how to do this simple task...

Many many thanks in advance.

Martin.

Sorry, I don't know Acid, but in Reaper there is a plug in called ReaTune, lets you adjust the pitch on a track by octave, semitone or fractions.

I dunno, either (again, my day to post in places I am totally uninformed) but I dig your user name. I have an Ensoniq ESQ-1, but all I ever use it for is a synth. In fact, I rarely use it at all. Wanna buy it? :)
