I just recently got an iPad 2, i'm kind of always late to the tech game, which is why i've learned to make great sounds out of bottom-of-the-line gear. It's kind of my calling card.

But anyways, i have an Axiom 25 midi controller (standard USB connection).

what would be the best gear to connect that to my new ipad?

also what software (DAW, Synth, guitar/bass rig) and/or other related gear would you recommend?

links, and/or price points, please!

trying to keep the price down on this. If i can do this for 100-200, golden! I noticed some I/Os (like Roland's) were less than 100$, but i don't know how good they sound, or if they do audio AND midi...
so yeah. appreciate the help.
Cheers.

Hey man, welcome to the boards. I've not used an iPad for audio properly (just played around with Garageband) so this suggestion is based purely on web reviews/your needs for midi. The Alesis IO dock Pro looks fantastic, although i don't know the $ price but in relation to UK £'s i'd guess at about $200, but it offers a lot of in's and out's some of the others miss.

In terms of DAW, Garageband on iPad is surprisingly good IMO.

Yeah i saw that too. It didn't get killer reviews around the web, though, but it looks like to be one of the only major i/o's out there right now. -sigh-

also, thank you for the welcome =]
