I recently reformatted my comp so a lot of my Cubase preferences and settings were not retained, obviously. I'm recording for the first time since then and I have a simple problem but I just can't figure it out. Running through a Firebox, I am recording a guitar through one of the instrument inputs, and running headphones through the headphone jack on the front for listening/monitoring etc.
I recorded an audio track, it was fine. When I clicked "monitor" I could hear the guitar and the tone and everything through the headphones. I recorded the track, and the image of the track showed that the audio DID record. However, when I play it back, even though the Beat Track plays, as well as a MIDI drum track I have accompanying the guitar track through the headphones, the guitar audio track I recorded did not play. I do NOT have the "monitor" button still active while playing back.
Also of note, I exported an audio mixdown to see if it would play that audio in the .mp3 mixdown, but it did not; only the MIDI drums played.
Thanks for the help!
