I know...some on here are anti Pro Tools for conversation purposes, but I have a real simple probably stupid question for those couple like me who are trying to use or explore all the recording options.
I just started with Pro Tools (LE connected to an M-Box and an Alesis Fireport 1394 so I can download tracks from my Alesis HD-24 into Pro Tools). Anyway, I downloaded a couple tracks from a project I am doing in my studio (just to finally play around with Pro Tools and get familiar with it)
I have the mix now that I want to use for a Scratch track CD I'll be passing out to other musicians who will be involved with this project I am working on.
My Question is (and dont go off on me because its probably such a stupid question) but how do I simply save these tracks in a complete .wav or .mp3 format to burn them into a CD and hand out?
I have been looking and looking, but the only options Pro Tools gives me under their "Save" list, are options all with Pro Tools Extensions>?>? And it wont give ne an "export" option>?>?
Once I have a mix the way I want it, cant I simply do a 'Save As" or Export and use a .wav or .MP3 (<-- which I really dont want to use) format??
Someone help me pleazzz!! lol
I can save in Cubase this way>?>?>? But I am tryign to get familiar with Pro Tools now.
And yes I tired to go to the Digi Pro Tools Forum to ask this, but it wouldnt allow me to sign on.
Thanks for any help
Peace
AJ
