Sidechain Problem

I put the stock cubase 5 compressor to a bass track and push the sidechain button.

Normally, i could go to my KICK track and put a send but now nothing is showing on the KICK send, i can't enable anything.

I used other different plugins like vintage compressor and gate and all is working with the sidechain its only the stock "Compressor" plugin that can't be assign to other tracks send when trying to use sidechain

Anyone has an idea how to fix this?

EDIT : Before anyone says this, YES I REOPENED THE WHOLE CUBASE AND WENT ON DIFFERENT PROJECTS TO SEE IF IT WAS STILL LIKE THAT

I saw this post a while back and had nothing to add as to the remedy.

Now that you figured out the answer, I say YAY! I rarely found a good use for sidechaining myself. I tried a few times and found that good tone and good use of eq does it better than using a compression trick. Just my experience though. Others and their particular genres may have other ideas. That's cool too...
