I think thats how you spell it. First of all let me explain a little bit. I enjoy writing songs but ain't too good at performing them. Vocals can be especially trying. I did discover double tracking which is both a blessing and a curse. Singing a song the first time can take 20 or 30 takes, then the second time can get real frustating.

The biggest problem tho is I have false teeth. Don't laugh, it's hereditary. They do however tend to emphasize s's and c's etc. I can usually minimize it by using z instead of s etc. but sometimes it gets out of hand. What I was wondering is if you nice folks would listen to The Night Shift Boogie on my Soundclick Page (it's the first song on the page) and tell me if you think I need to redo the vocals. Please say I don't. :) Of course any comments on any other aspect of the production are appreciated. I'm always looking to improve.

Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate it.

hey dan

love the tune... haha so cool. Anyway the production sounds pretty good. I acutally like the vocals just the way they are. The S's don't sound too bad at all. I'm sure if I wasnt listening for them I wouldnt notice them hardly at all. If you are still unsatisfied, thought, you can always try messing with mic placement a lot. I find that to help out with S's in particular it helps to have the mic higher than normal. And tilt it downwards toward the mouth. That way some of the excess S doesnt hit the mic. Hope this helps... Im still a newb but it worked for me :) Good Luck

Thanks rudalicious, I'll try that singing under the mic thing. I have tried singing over the top of the mic. I read somewhere it would give your voice more body. I guess cuz it's aimed at the body. Didn't seem to help much tho, just made it sound more muddy.

So unless anyone else has any opinions, I'll leave it the way it is. Life is good. :)
