I just got Sibelius, and have started a waltze. Yea i'm very happy with this walze, but I'm not too sure what to do now. No not writers block, actually I know exactly what I want to do musically, but I have no idea how to copy and paste a large section.

another problem:

now when I go into my score, I play it and no sound comes out .

It did before
(i have a yamaha soft synth playing the midi, well not literally playing it now i guess)
*sigh* my luck

I have 2 bars (6 quarter notes with chords attached and all) and I want to copy and paste afterwards so it repeats.

Help!!!

I know this will sound like I'm being a jerk... but my suggestion is to read the excellent manual that came with your program. Or go to help, Help topics... find, and type in "copying" or "playback" and read what it tells you to do. Both of the operations you are discribing are basic functions that are easy to do.

The copy and paste is routine is.... basically highlight the sections you want to copy.... point and click... extend the blue boxed section by holding down the shift key and then use the right arrow key to add material. control C copies... Control V, left click.. pastes.. You'll figure it out.

The no sound problem could be a bit more of a problem.... do you have the appropriate bank and Program for your sound card or sound module selected under the Play/Flex-time ... sounds menu? Are you set up correctly under the Play/Flexi-time .... Equipment menu? Did you give the program a start point? ... Are you speakers turned on? could be seveal things....

It's a great program.... you will love it!
