Hey,

Anyone have and use with these before..

is it worth it?

Retail is lik $400 ebay is around $300...

One set on ebay included a shure snare mic now too..

Is this worth it..

how is the quality of sound...?

Thanks,
Ethan

They're crap. Just do a search, at least once a week someone comes on here to try to justify buying the pg drum mic package. You should really just try to slowly piece together a better package. I have the Audix fusion set and its not bad but also really isn't that great. I've already sub'd out the kick for a D6 and the overheads for shure ksm109's. IMO you can get a much better sound for really not much more money if you look around. But like I said use the search function and you'll see many more recommendations.

JonnyC is correct.

If you have $400 to spend, buy 1 Small Diaphragm Condenser for an overhead, and but a Kick drum mic, and a pair of stands.

Then, depending upon how your recordings turn out - you might want to invest in either another small diaphragm condenser, or a dynamic mic for a snare. Personally, I'd get a second condenser, but that's just me - I'm trying to move away from even owning any dynamic microphones. I find I prefer condensers for recording, as they seem to sound more realistic.

i wouldn't suggest the audix fusion series,
they suck.

atm25 for kick (150)
c4 or 2 for overs (100 a piece i think) (oktava mk012 is a better mic if you can find one)
and the 57 on snare, and you'll probably be just fine.
