Why so serious?
I have had this mike for damn near 20 years, and it still sounds great. Anyone know anything about this mike? I can't seem to find any info on it. Is it a good mike, a mediocre mike?
It seems to sound pretty good. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Regards, Don

I have one, and Ive had since high school. Its my main mic for my Marshall 1/2 stack. I down loaded the documentation for it and it seems to be the run of the mill sound reinforcment vocal microphone. Cardioid patterned dynamic mic, 50 to 15,000Hz. You can get info at Shure Bros site. Ive had pretty good luck with it...Im not sure what replaced it in the product line, added in 1973 and they discontinued it in 1981. Mine was left at my parents house by a singer during a try out, after removing some fancy decorative tiger print tape I discovered it was engraved and purchased by the high school I went to.....

Peace,
Dennis

It was basically a SM-58 w/ a switch built in, a nice padded case, a cable and line transformer included. I bought one in 1981 new (the year they were disco'd) I think basically they replaced them w/ the SM-58S model, though probably not w/ the same extras. If you compare the freq chart between the SuperPro and the '58 they are almost identical. I always just refer to it as a '58.
