I was wondering about this mic. It is at a local pawn shop for $45 and is in excellent condition. I want to record guitars right now and was wondering about the applications of this mic. It looks like one of those old bullet mics, but blue, not green. It also has a huge omni directional cover like a modern mic. (not a metal cover with slits like the bullet mike).
Since it is at a pawn shop I can't hook it up to anything decent (like a p.a.) and I don't think they would let me crank up a guitar and record something with it. The guy said he would give me 2 days to try the mic out with, but I'm busy and I don't think that would be enough time.
I know I should sweat 50 bucks, but 50 bucks is 50 bucks short of buying a real mic.
Also it has an XLR connector and I was wondering if this mic uses phantom power?
As always thanks for your help and patience.
