Shure 8800

Someone on my local craigslist is selling 2 Shure 8800's for cheap ($5). I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them and if they would sound ok micing a guitar amp. They are cardioid dynamic mics but that is all I know. Note that I don't have any other mics and don't have the money for an SM57 at the moment.

While the 8800 is an older model, this link will tell you about the current line of consumer microphones, which would be similar to the 8800.
