I posted a solo I made at my friends recording studio. Check it out www.purevolume.com/pst the song called shredder

When you say you made this...........How???...It didn't sound like someone playing the guitar to me??

Enlighten me please! :)

the way my friend mixed and recorded made the guitar sound weird but yea i played it??? How else ?

It sounds very computer to me. I don't really know how else to put it. if it's because of the mix I'd go back and re do it, to make it sound more "real"

The playing is neat and tidy......it sounds too electronically tweaked, it sounds too mechanical????????????

How else you ask??.......Hmmmmmmm!!!!

With all respect for you, but I´m playing GTR in the last 20 years, and...

What are you guys talking about? Yall never heard someone shred like this?

Ok I asked my friend why it sounds like that and its because First he had these damper things on his guitar. Second he had some compressor and a noise gate that makes the guitar perfectly silent and punchy. He also recorded in stereo and he had some other fancy stuff I suppose

Shred I thought it was shed - a popular Australian male's retreat.
Shredder? It sounds like the soundtrack to Space Invader or similar - it is so heavily treated it sounds purely computer generated.
Are you ready - again over processed. There is little sense of a guitar sounds more like a klaxon sample. After that it gets into what I think has killed metal.
Attack sounds like a lighter version of Iron Maiden or similar NWOBHM stuff.
Needs some middle & so volume. Some good playing for the genre but not my mug of mud.

every time you post something it doesnt make sense to me. I kinda got some key points but man you have a weird way of writing things. Thansk for the tip though, its really not my style of recording anyways so ill post some more stuff later. Done with MY equipment

Oh , sorry, I forget the name of guys......

The solo remember me Larry Carlton, Jeff Beck, Ace Frehley ... :D :D :D

I have heard people shred like this but it just sounds so over-processed, almost like it was generated on a computer!

Nice playing Dude if you cut this on guitar, but the sound definitely needs some work to give it that "real guitar played by a human" sound.

How did your Hat get broke??? :D

(serious)

If is really a guitar , you´re a very, very good musician. :) :) :)

(and ...to prove that we are wrong, tell us what´s the gear you use to record?)

It was my friends gear. An original fender start i elieve and a a marshall amp and cabinet. A big one. Not sure what models or anything
