and usually they try and be unoticed and use really small print a lot of the time

Ive noticed that technique used a few times and shall refer to it from here on out as "The Chris Harris Technique" for no particular reason........

I don't want to comment on Chris's methods but I will say this.... this is a song we are writing together and it's still in it's infancy ... damm I only got to hear it 1/2 hr ago ! (Darn time zones).... only just had a chance to offer my input (it was my idea initially - chris started writing it - now it's my turn again).

He was busting to get feedback since I wasn't around... but now I am here and it's gone... make sense ?

We don't want to rush this one so please be patient

My theory is that if you just posted it, and no one has responded then fine...delete it. But once someone else has "signed" the thread I think it's public property. People learn from archived threads. I used to do key word searches when I first started coming here just to see what I'd been missing all this time.

And mix, I've seen some pretty detailed critiques come from you, and if I had a response as detailed as some of yours get deleted, I'd be rather bullshit about the whole afair.

Dudes, here's the deal. I've probably started TEN threads in the last 3 weeks, and I honestly feel bad about it.

I tried to be really clear in my original post, and in subsequent posts in that thread, that I was gonna' get it out of the way so other "finished" tunes could get some of the time that I've been hogging. In classic "chris" fashion, the thread I deleted has just been replaced by this bullshit, so I'll go ahead and post my link in here for karma purposes, because the song's still there!!

And mix, I KNOW YOU READ WHY I WAS POSTING IT, because you didn't slam me on the "mix..." LOL. You gave me exactly the feedback I needed, and I thanked you for it twice. If you didn't see where I told you I'm using one of the lines you offer...THEN READ FASTER!!! :D :D

And trust me, mixmkr - I did YOU a favor. I mean, did you even READ that verse you offered up? I wanted you to maintain some shred of dign...Okay, now I'm kidding. :D

It's not like I axed it because I got flamed or anything. It's a serious tune, and for once, I'm trying to take it seriously...It wasn't a mix check, and it wasn't really a songwriting post either...it was one of my VERY RARE "I don't wanna' fuck this up because it's a real touchy subject, so tell me if it already makes you barf" posts.

In all seriousness, I thought I was doing the board a favor, because I totally appreciate you guys, and I was COMPLETELY upfront about the fact that I was gonna' delete it, so post at your own fucking risk. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah, he took some time...but it wasn't the kind of stuff that could really be universally applied (like an EQ). It was real specific to the content of the tune, so I don't think anybody would miss it???
