Should I trust Superlux Pro series drum mics?

It appears to me that Superlux just mimics the popular mics out there and provides them at a much cheaper price. I'm looking at the pro series stuff which can be found here: http://www.superlux.us/images/Superlux_DRK-B_series.jpg The overheads look like they are copies of the SM-81. I'm thinking about getting a pair of those Pro 268 mics. Does anyone know if these mics are any good? Or if the company is any good in general?

I don't have the Pro 268's, but I've been using the Superlux PRA 268A mics for overheads and hi-hat for 4 years now and they've worked very well for me. I actually did a side by side test with a SM-81 in the store (car keys jingle) and personally liked how the Superluxes sounded for what I was after (which was for cymbals and acoustic guitar highs).

You might want to also check out the Audix Fusion15 mics. They look and sound almost identical and may cost less, depending on where you get them.

Hope this helps,
