should i trade my preamp?

ok i have a blue tube mic pre
i get ok results with vocals /acoustic guitar
but if i use an electric guitar directly into it it sounds way to dark

allot of people have been raving here about the dmp3

i was wondering i still have the option to trade it in for 60$can more i can get it.

is it a better over preamp?

my setup is a at3035 ld mic ,audiophile soundcard.

Yeah man, give it a shot! Try and add a few more dollars and purchase a DMP!

yeah i've got both and the DMP3 is my choice for almost any application. it doesn't have 'toowbs' - so you're not going to get all that 'warmth' (i.e. the heat of the 'toowb') but it still sounds good! i don't think i've ever chosen the presonus over the DMP3. i do use the presonus whenever i run out of pre's and don't want to use the mixer anymore.

I had a Blue Tube. Mine burnt up (electrical failure). It was less than a year old. I tossed it in the trash. Best move I made. They are not transparent, not colored, just noisy. Oh well, money down the drain.
