In January I purchased the Audiophile 2496 because I was tired of the old Audigy 2. But soon, 2 analog inputs wasn't enough but I scraped by as long as I could. In October I purchased the Delta 66, with that synced to my Audiophile through SPDIF, I have 6 analog inputs. But for the past month I have kicking myself for not buying the Delta 1010 because my current set up isn't getting it done. It used to work because the only instruments that were being recorded were 2 guitars, a bass, and 1 to 2 vocals. But now in comes the drumset and everything is out the window.
If I had the 1010 synced to my Delta 66, got rid of the 2496 (out of PCI slots), I would have 14 inputs. That should last....i hope. My question is, is the 1010 the best way to go? I love M-Audio products and I am on a budget (especially since I keep getting the wrong stuff). I don't want to being doing this again.
In addition, I know that the 1010 isn't the best qualilty around, but is it good enough to do some demos and live recordings with?
Any thoughts?
