Should I buy these?

Those are better than most headphones and your computer speakers. They aren't really "monitors" however. But you will probably hear an improvement in your sound mixing with those.

Why are they called monitor speakers then? Are they too cheap do you think? or will I get a good response from them?

It's a marketing thing.

I wouldn't say they are too cheap. They are definitely better than whatever you are using now.
 
Yeah just by the picture they are only 3 bricks tall!
 
You see those on Ebay all the time (in US anyway). Better than any computer speakers.
 
Monitors because they are made for production houses, i.e monitoring sound in a video production room during tracking.

I recommend to buy something more expensive and quality for your own comfortability, but I'm not saying you should not buy m-audio :)
 
I got M-Audio CX8 and its Works out fine for Sound Design

Always good advice to tell someone to buy something more expensive, but we have to be realistic about his budget here.

Yeah man. Your right. I know the more expensive things are obviously better. But I'm on a budget, I need the best at around £100.

Don't get me wrong... I have thousands in the bank but that is for a car and a holiday so.. Yeah haha.
