HI,
I've been interested in AMT's Tweed Sound pedal, but I just realised that I already have a Fender Bassman model on my amp. Should I get the Tweed Sound and use it through the clean channel?
Thanks :)

Not to rain on your parade, I know we all hve different tastes, but have you heard the sound clips on their website?

Those don't sound any more 'tweed' than some cheap ass digital modeler.

The tweed sound is from tubes. Its very hard to emulate slight break up either digitally or with transistors. Not that it can't be done, but I don't think that pedal nailed it. I have heard decent modeling and pedals of heavier distortions, but the ever so slight break up of the 'tweed' sound is damn near impossible for modelers or pedals to replicate as smoothly as the original.

The Bassman model would be considered 'tweed'. So you really already have a tweed sound. You probably just need to work the EQ a bit....turn down the gain a little.

Hell, my little Fender Pro Jr. sounded more tweed than that thing.

That isn't like a $200 boutique pedal is it?

its 75$ and i they can send it to me for a demo, if i dont like it i can send it back. I'm really looking for a pedal which can provide slight distortion, kindof like dave gilmour, but also providing high distortion. any help?
EDIT:Cheap ass digital modeler? C'mon its not exactly cheap, and provides a hella lot of sounds.

hmm, ok, but, that wont connect to my amp will it? and 5 watts? any other suggestions?

You could connect it to you amps speakers.

And 5 watts of tube power is plenty for recording or use at home.

I would go to guitar center and play one if you can first though. They have a combo version for another $20.

ok i see, so i connect it to my speakers, what kind of boost will it give me?
thanks for all your help!

Boost? No boost. Its not a pedal or preamp. Its a normal amp. you just turn the volume up until you have the desired volume/distortion.
