Hello.here is my sound demo.
and it's cover song.
pls give me some opinion about my recording and mixing
(but I sang bad.......)

I liked the heavy reverb on the vox. Ordinarily I don't like that much, but I thought it fit the "feel" of this one. I didn't think the singing was all that bad. You hit all the high notes. If you double or trip the vocals, I think it would sound fantastic.

I thought the guitar and (to a lesser extent the strings) were a little tough to hear. The vocals kind of covered them. Oh there's a bass there... So it got covered too.

I heard some small pops during the the song.

Not too bad overall IMO.

Nice vocals. Could have more room for the instrument section, but maybe its just the crappy speakers Im using right now.

How can I make guitar and string tracks abit soft?you mean add more reverb?or Eqing?
and I always want to make the string wide, but I can't do that?!
anything to make it wide?

about the small pops.I already used a DIY pop filter.
or I sang too close?it's about 3inch

As for the balance between the vocals and instruments... You might want to EQ out some mids from the vocals, pull back the fader a bit on them, boost the fader on the instrument tracks, and CAREFULLY give an EQ boost to the instruments in low-mid area (300-550hz or so). These are only rough guesses - not meant to be exact.

As for the pops... They weren't plosives I heard. I think your pop filter is probably working fine. These were more of a "crackle" sound. Try burning the song on CD and listen on a small car stereo and see if you hear them. If you have a pair of Walkman headphones and can plug them into your PC listen there as well. You might be able to better hear them.

really nice work. I like the transparent verb and definition on the vocals. they already said the backing is a little soft in comparison. Nice mood piece.

On the tune that autoplays, I liked the tones of the instruments and the mix was good, needina little more meat on the lows of the kit and bass for me. I use that bass tone myself sometimes. I heard some clipping, it must have been cut pretty hot.

Hunting High And Low... aha...

Airy synth music... from Scandinavia? Some falsetto? Aight.

"to-gedder"... heh... get "regebro" in here NOW :D

The womens would prolly pay ya some $$ for a lapdance... if ya wear a silk shirt and hot pink bell bottoms :o

Guessing you're looking for a female audience... and sorry... can't help ya there  As far as tracking/mixing goes... it could be a bit cleaner... but the depth and width were better than par.

*pat pat pat* on the back
