Short D-Sub (from PCI to AI)?

Where can I find a 3' or 4' DB-9 Connector (of very good quality)?

My Audio Interface came with a 15', but it's placed in my studio very close to the PC; & I would like a shorter cable.

Not special . . . just good quality (good contacts, good copper cabling, good sheilding, etc.)

Dsub usually refers to DB25. I'm not familliar with DB9 for audio.


There is a difference between audio and computer DB25 cables. I would do an online search for Horizon or Proco. They both make DB25's but I don't recall seeing any short jumpers like that. You may need to have them custom made.

Found a 5' HOSA CMT405DS DB9 to DB9 Control/Sync ADAT Cable. It's very high-quality & double shielded . . . but I have an inquiry in to HOSA to find out if there's anything about the copper wiring that would limit to use as an ADAT Sync cable only, or preclude it from being used as a straight pass-through connection (from a PCI Card to a Breakout Box.)
