Shooting troubles: audio dropouts every 45 secs

Hi all! I'm troubleshooting my DAW (nForce4, ugh!) where audio drops out seemingly at random. I use Cubase SX 3 on Windows XP. I turned off all VSTs/fx and used a stopwatch while a piece of the song loops, and behold! Every 45 secs, the audio drops out for a second.

Must be some setting somewhere. I'll try hunt down the problem, but I was curious if anyone of you ever had the same problem?

Follow-up: If you got a similar problem; move all plugins from the vst folder to a temp folder, start cubase, then quit and move everything back. This will force a update for all plugins, and most probably will solve your problem.
