hello all

does anyone have an old shockmount hanging around collecting dust that they just dont know what to do with it?
can be slightly broken, but of course, reasonably usable.

i just got a an mxl 1006 ( http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/shop_image/product/29fd88632da2a4f0fbffa4698e43e15f.jpg )

that my brother let me borrow. but no shockmount.
and i really dont have the money to buy one.

i hope someone has a one shockmount fits all type thing. or the one specifically for the 1006.

thank you very much if anyone has a good heart and old equipment.
i'll pay for shipping to sao paulo brazil.

thank you

I don't have anything old that's usable, but I can point you to a couple of relatively inexpensive ones that work well. For that mic, it looks like you need the slip-in variety of shock mount rather than the bottom-screw variety. CAD makes a good shock mount that should work reasonably well:

I have a pair of these and can confirm that they are solid. I modded mine with the center piece from the (IMHO, completely worthless) Studio Projects shock mounts so that I'd have shock mounts that wouldn't keep folding up on me. :)

Anyway, you can't beat the price ($12.83 + shipping). Heck, the minimum UPS shipping cost for a <1 pound package is almost as much as the shock mount....

I don't have one to sell/give you, but I have a couple of these that work fine for most LDC mics.

I'm pretty sure that's identical to the CAD shock mount I mentioned except for the paint job. :D

yeah, they really arent that expensive
problem is paying the 20 so dollars... having it shipped internationally... paying the crazy monetary exchange rate... and then most likely having it stopped at customs and having to pay 60% of all the cost to the government.

and that is no fun

thanks for the links though everyone
im gonna study exactly how i can manage it
