Here is my dilema. I sing and play guitar. While doing this I am often shocked by my microphone. My microphone is a cheap dynamic mike. The guitar is a fender single coil with 2 pickups. I don't know if you guys need that info, but better to be thorough, righ? Please help because my lips can get very numb if this happens enough. Thank you.

Best bet

It happens to me on occasion too...your best bet is to not kiss the mic, and stay a little bit away from it. I always took a shock from the mic as a warning to stay away.

I've had this problem too before..it was usually my amp not being properly grounded. Might wanna check that out.

Don't burn those lips....

I agree the problem is probably an improperly grounded guitar amp, or PA, or both.

One sure, although somewhat expensive, way to eliminate this problem is to get a wireless guitar connection. A wireless mic would do the same thing but would cost considerably more. No wire, no shock.
