any one know if there is software that will print out sheet music - once u've loaded the track into the software? i thought one of the rec. software packages did that . . like magix?

i need it mainly cuz im tryin to do a "remake" of an old song - n by ear, i cant quite make out all 0f the notes in teh original song - was hopin the sheet music software would nail tlhis for me

any help?

greatly appreciated!

Are you trying to get the sheet music of an audio file or a MIDI file?

For MIDI files, you can use the free Power Tab Editor or take a look at Guitar Pro.

There is software to try and notate audio files but it's anything but accurate from my experience.

i feel u on the inaccuracies - i just used . . somethin all hell i dont know - but it told me that the song was 127 bpm

acid4.0 told me that the song was 119.5 bpm

and when i finally got the notes correct on the keyboard - im up at 135 bpm

dammmm

now - i need to figure out how to play a song which is this dammm fast - at a slower tempo - like 85 - n still have it sound hot - ?

any advise? suggestions?
greatly appreciated!

There is software out there meant to slow down songs without effecting pitch. But, your software (Acid?) might have a time stretch feature which can probably do it as good/or better than the other software.

Try a search in the manual/help files for time stretch.

I've never used Acid, but am almost positive you can do a time stretch. Audition, Cool Edit, Cubase and PT all have time stretch so I don't see why Acid wouldn't.

Also I'll post a link I have saved on my studio PC when I can, it's a bpm calculator so if your tempo is 135 and you want to pitch it to 85 bpm it'll tell you how many semitones to shift it. That may help also, that way you won't have to replay it, you can just keep it at 135 and time stretch it to 85 without it sounding super slow.

That Ll Be Cool - Im Workin The Track Out On A Triton - N I Have Made This Track N Re-made This Track Like 4 Times - Each At Dif. Tempos And With Dif. Instruments Tryin To "capture" The Right Feel To It - Dammm How Frustratin!!!

yes, AcidPro will take a sample and allow you to change tempo without changing the pitch. i've done it several times before.
