Just for sake of curiosity, I was always lazy to even try the same : Wavelab.

What are the essential differences between our SoundForge and Wavelab? (Steinberg)

Engine, power vs SF?

soundforge is built off of the arcitecture of wavelab but it's missing a lot of features... so why not go with the origional?? wavelab is the SHIZNIT!!!!

I've just installed Wavelab, 2.53 Lite. This is the one that comes with Emu X-studio (1820m)

Yes, it has some nice features, should I check full pro version, does it offer something significantly more?

They say imitation is the highest form of complimenting the original.

In this case I must say I like, no, I love copy better.

SF7 is so many times smother environment compared to Wavelab.

Everything looks more functional and intuitive. True, I work with SF for quite some time,I might be slightly biased, but I really like SF working environment better.

There is nothing significantly better that would take me away from my SF7, well, provided there is nothing revolutionary more in full version of Wavelab.

I have used both Sound Forge and Wavelab for a number of years. Both are great, but I will admit, I'm more of a Sound Forge guy.
