SF 6 virtual edit tracks are different from primary

Has anyone noticed a slight difference in the eq when you create a virtual copy of the primary to preview and edit before you write it?
The virtual seems to have a brighter eq to it than the primary, I wonder if possibly the math algorythmn is using dither instead of the actual math.
Or am i just a paranoid and hearing things?
