Sounds like you could put this in the Pop category.

Pretty good mix. The vocals get buried at times when they are sung low and conflicting with other instruments; ~2:30. I think you can just bring the level up a bit. Singer gets a little pitchy when hitting low notes. Close to being out of her range.

The voice is out of tune in several parts, the levels are good. Definitely this is a pop song, general pop, or even rock pop.

The mix and sound quality is awesome. I agree on the pitch. Kind of hard to listen to due to the pitchiness of the singer. If the vocals were tuned, it would be amazing.

Hehe.... I didn't hear the original, and it looks like it no longer is on dropbox... But, man.. The auto-tuned one sounds scary good. Couldn't tell at all that any auto-tune was used, although I really don't have ears trained for that....

Yeah.. Pretty laid-back piece. Great mixing!
 
Excellent job with the voice - a few essing spots that may be worth looking at (probably emphasised by the reverb).
The autotune seems to have addressed a lot of issues - pity you couldn't get an accurate take.
Very modern "Kate Bush meets Enya in a chill out room at the disco" vibe.
Actually sounds like an updated (but entirely new) Cyndi Lauper song.

I did have a hankering for some 80's fretless bass action a la the fellow from Japan.
 
This sounds good. I feel like the pad is a little overpowering once the other instruments come in. It sounds good at the beginning, but once the guitars and bass comes in, it kind of drowns out the other stuff. Not a lot, just a little.
 
Sounds fine for what it is. It's not something I can listen to very objectively.


I will objectively look at pics of the hot chick though.

Didn't listen to the original, but the voice sure sounds good here. If she looks as good as this sounds, you've got a star in the making.....;)
