hi guys ! quick question . i have 6 midi modules. jv1010, 01R/W, X3R, ROLAND XP10,ALESIAS D4 DRUM ..
I guess I have them all daisy chained up, which i guess is not a good idea ..
What I'm thinking of is getting the M-Audio 8x8 interface and hooking all these modules up to the midi in on the interface ..
First question, is this the right way to hook all those modules up ..
Second, question is, right now (not hookup to the m-audio interface but all modules are daisy chained) when I hit play on Cakewalk (I already programed all my tracks in cakewalk) I hear all the sounds form all the modules playing at the same time... here's my layout ..
TRACK 1 - PIANO -- ROLAND XP 10 KEYBOARD
TRACK 2 - BASS -- KORG O1R/W
TRACK 3 - STRINGS 1 - JV1010
TRACK 4 - STRINGS 2 -- JV1010
TRACK 5 - GUITAR -- X3R
TRACK 6 - RHYTHM -- X3R
TRACK 7 - RHYTHM 2 -- JV1010
TRACK 8 - SAX -- ROLAND XP 10
TRACK 10 - DRUMS -- ALESIAS D4
Now i would like to balance everything out .. meaing i would like for example only the piano coming out of the xp 10 only and not from ther other modules. same goes with track 2, 3 and so on .. But right now, every track seems to come out form all the modules.
I guess maybe this is happening because the modules have been daisy chained and when I get my m-audio 8x8 this will solve my problem .. Meaning, only those modules will play the sounds which the track has been assigned too in cakewalk .. or if anyone has another way to creat this kind of setup, i'd really love to hear about it ..
