Hello all,

Is anyone here running a DAW using Guitar Tracks Pro and the Audiophile 24/96 card.

I would like to know what you have found to be the best settings in the audiophile and what you have set up in guitar tracks pro?

Thanks
Pier

Well I have a 2496 and Sonar 2 and I'd think the settings would be about the same, but I'm not quite sure where you're coming from when you ask this question.

First off GT-PRO does handle mutltiple input cards so you may want to use the spdif in if you have a digital output on a piece of your equipment.

If you choose to do this you must go to the Delta control panel/hardware settings/master clock and set it to "spdif in" at this point your external device is the "clock"for all audio activities and must be turned on for any audio functions to work.

you must also choose what bitrate/sample depth you want to work at and the external device the delta panel and the software must all be set at the same setting.....this is extremely important!

This setting depends on your cpu/disk space/drive speed etc.

remember all cd's are sampled at 44.1 khz so if you plan to burn to cd you probably want to use this setting(unless you have some sort of conversion software)

I keep all my volume sliders up and set my input signal accordingly.

as far as pan center for mono on inputs and hard left and right for stereo tracking.

you may run the pan to center for stereo mikeing purposes and pan during mixing if you care to.

I set the patch bay router to "monitor mixer on both counts but this may be changed to suit any special needs.

set the spdif tab to "consumer"

GOOD LUCK!
