I'll bring 12 lines out of my AI into 12 line inputs on my mixer.
I'm cosidering the soundcraft EPM 12.
I assume that Aux1 out and/or Aux2 out are where i could go out to a reverb box and/or another processor. But I don't see an Aux return on this board. Do i bring it back to the stereo channels? If so, does that mean that I have one or two stereo channels in my mix that contain a sum of all the channels that I have dialed out to the Aux's? Is this a typical way to process external fx?
each channel on this mixer has an insert where i could route to a patchbay that is connected to fx boxes, but the Aux route seems cleaner to me. Do i just need to be looking for a mixer with aux returns?
