Hi Guys, newbie on here but here goes. My Set Up:
Behringer Xenyx 1204FX Mixer
Roland BR900CD Digital Recording Unit
Korg X50 Keyboard
Roland Juno GI
Yamaha DTXPress iv Drum Kit
Behringer UMX250 Midi keyboard
Behringer UC222 USB Midi interface
Alesis M1 520 Active studio speakers
1TB HARD DRIVE PC built with Maximus iv internal soundcard.

Here Goes, What am I doing wrong in the set up. Getting feedback from the speakers in idle mode. Can someone please either give me a diagram of how the set up should be wired or written instructions. Really only info needed is for the link between PC/UCA control/Mixer and recorder/Speakers as I think thats where the issue is. I thought I had this cracked until a recent move caused me to fully disasemble the set up. Really do appreciate any help guys ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!, cheers

It would help to know how are you using the set up. You are recording on the BR900, not on your computer? If so, your speakers should be plugged into it, not the interface.
Tell us how you have things hooked up now. If the recorder is set on the 'MIC' input and you don't have any mics plugged in, it defaults to the built-in mic - this will cause feedback.

Hi ok there.
I currently have:
FL Studio on PC
USB out of pc Behringer UCA202 Control
"RCA outs" of UCA202 control to line "5/6 mono in" on Behringer 1204fx Mixer
"RCA CD/Tape outs" to "active monitors IN"
3 Keyboards on "line ins" on mixer, one per channel

I get full signal on pc and sound from monitors just not great idle sound. I want to get the final mix after FL out of pc to Roland BR900CD recorder
I appreciate all your help, just wanna make some great music
thanks

Sorry, but not sure how you are using the Behringer UCA202. Do you have the output of the mixer going to it, then the USB to the computer? If so, then your feedback is from the loop you have created with the UCA to the mixer channels 5/6.

The UCA202 is a cheap interface and will be the low spot on your signal chain for sound quality. Get a decent audio interface like a Focusright Saffire or M Audio Fast Track Pro and skip the mixer in the chain, too.

Hi Mike, thanks for the quick reply. The UCA202 is coming directly out of the pc acting as an ASIO interface then the outs from the UCA into the mixer then the cd/tape outs to monitors.
How should it be rigged up?

If that's all you have hooked in that chain, then your USB output to the UCA202 is getting fed back into the DAW via USB - it's the only place where a loop could occur. Disable the USB input in FL and see if that stops the feedback.
