Hey everyone,
I thought I'd try and cover this one Sesame Street song that Ernie once sung called "I'd Like to Visit the Moon." Some of you may remember it from the show. Anyway, I kinda made it a bit spiffier hopefully. The link is below:

(right click --> save target as...)

I played everything except for the drums which my brother played. Any critiquing on the peformance, recording, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It kinda gets distorted, especially when everything gets going. You probably need to cut your recording levels some.
I like that fade-in thing you do near the end of the song......that's pretty creative.
There are some timing issues in the drums. He might try a click track to get his timing a bit steadier.
All in all, not too bad of a first attempt on this.

Hey, I like this one a lot! Let's hear it for Sesame Street covers. You know, the slightly erratic drumming didn't really bother me - it kind of added to the "cheeky" home-brewed vibe. The one thing I'd like though is more low end. I don't think I heard a bass in there.

It's totally enjoyable as is, but a little more balance to the sound would make it even better.

I dare you to do "it's not easy being green" next...

Heck... Jeff's got the avatar... is he our man? ;) Should we volunteer him? :D

BTW WestGate.... not bad... kinda got a "Lit" feel to it. A little loose, but not bad.

Thanks for all the replies thus far. Yeah, we 've been trying on and off to play to a click track, this was one of those off times. So maybe we should try a click track every time now. I'll try and work on the low end - our bass recording method isn't the best. I'll see if I can boost that a bit more. Perhaps an acoustic during that quiet part? Anywho, thanks for the responses. Keep 'em comin'.
