Hi Folks,

I have recently acquired a SONY TC 272 which belonged to my uncle. This a Sony's mono 2 track recorder that takes in 1/2 " tape for recording / playback. It uses tubes for biasing and audio amplification.

I am planning to restore it and there is not / very faint playback volume.

Does anyone have a service manual for the SONY TC 272. I did search the internet and was not able to find one.
Appreciate your response.

Thanks,
Ram

Thanks for your response... but Sony tc 272 and tc-270 are world apart. Tc 272 was built in mid to late 60's and uses tubes... whereas 270 is a solid state unit built on 70,s......
Below is the TC 272 information page on radio museum
