In another thread Kcearl recommended Sony Vegas Movie Studio for music videos, and lo and behold I find that NewEgg is (was) offering Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum Suite 11 for only $39.99 after rebate (since expired). So I figure what the heck and I pull the trigger though at the time I wasn't too sure what the 'Platinum Suite' was going to buy me.

Turns out quite a bit.
  • Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11
  • DVD Architect Studio 5
  • Sound Forge Audio Studio 10
  • Vocal Eraser Tool
  • 12 Additional DVD Themes
  • NewBlueFX Transitions, Effects and 3D Titling
I was going to buy Sound Forge Audio Studio separately and to find it bundled for less then the retail cost of the software when sold standalone was... nice.

I got 10 a while back and got a similar package.... although I haven't tried the Vocal Eraser yet... though mine was waaaaay more than $39... good score.

Vocal Eraser... so far... hasn't succeeded in actually erasing any vocals but did succeed in making the vocal track sound like it was laid down by a talkbox. Interesting effect in it's own right.

I wonder if it works on the voices in my head...?:laughings:

I'll have to fire it up and try it out... I need a Dalek effect for a song I'll get around to soon...
