hi guys.
I am working in Protools and I am trying to make a poor man's multiband compressor.
I have a bandpass plugin and an eq. I have the originals in two tracks, and those feed 4 aux tracks in which I plan to put one of those plugins and then a compressor or enhancer.
The question is: should I use the bandpass or the eq?
I think the bandpass will be more "pure", since you can dial the separation with 1hz precission. The eq will need to be a deep one, and I will have the "borders" of the bands on more than one aux track. But maybe this is more natural, although I can have phase problems un the main output.
BTW anybody know how do multiband compressor split bands?
Cheers, Andrés
