Sennheiser HD 205 Headphones

Just wondering, has anyone used these? I own a pair. I've read some reviews online and people talk about "great bass, great treble" etc. I'm starting to wonder if my pair is faulty. Like, the bass is there, the high end is there, but there's about a 6db boost around 1k, and I don't find it particularly flattering. If I'm ever doing some late-night rough-mixing, I have to set up an EQ on the master output to take about 6db out of the mids just to get them to sound a little flatter.

I'm just wondering if anybody else here has a pair and can tell me if they hear the same things I hear.

They are OK tracking headphones - though the 215 are better.

But I would not use closed headphones for mixing.

When I have to do that I use open headphones like the HD 600 or HD 650 (although I have now upgraded to the HD 800).
