Sennheiser 431 old wives tale?

There has been a story that the original 431's shared the same capsule as the 441. Can anyone confirm this?

This isn't the first time I've inquired about this but perhaps someone has new info?

And yes I'm talking about the 431 not 421.

It's a very different microphone with a very different frequency response.

And, yes, I have both an original 431 and 441.

Although the basic capsule housing may look/be the same, the damping and tuning (and maybe the diaphragm) would be very different to do the two very different jobs that the two microphones were designed to do.
