Hi, This is my second attempt at a track. I'm a bit stuffed for lyrics at the moment as the initial idea didn't stack up in the cold light of day. I am completely new at home recording, but I think I'm learning as I go. I'm certainly raising my expectations anyway :D not sure if the execution is keeping up but I'm trying. The structure is a little awkward as I wanted a slight departure from the more usual formats in respect of disceranble verse/bridge/chorus layout, so I'm basically having to decide which parts of the track will have vocals and if the track so far is musically viable taking into account the fact that I intend to re take virtually everything to tighten it up from this initial draft which seemed like a good idea in the small hours :) My intention is to have verses for most the four chord turnarounds and repetitive phrasing or part repetitive evolving phrasing for the two chord sections in-between, and maybe some more lead guitar over the last turnaround, though I'm flexible on all fronts.

I just added this paragraph as I realise I didn't make it clear I'm looking for thoughts in respect of whether using the kind of drum track I have is a flop, how the overall feel of the track comes across? If not working is the case, the whole track will need to be binned as the piano is pretty much accented around the drum track, as is the guitar. I forget sometimes that I need to say I'd like some feedback, as I maybe over assume that it's why one might want to post a developing track here and that it's an accepted norm that a poster is looking for opinions of others with more experience or insight. Either ways I'm not flapping as I understand all you folks are free agents and have your own commitments, I might just press on with this and hash some lyrics and see how it flies in the composition section. I'm not whining re lack of response, more a case that my lack of asking for input was probably not good manners and I want to put that right.

Many thanks for listening/reading

Tim
