Nico:
Thank you very much for your kind words and all support and help.
Ido:
First of all, thank you.
I used a semi electric Takamine Santa Fe and recorded several tracks DI.
(my card is M-Audio F410 and the mixing software is Adobe Audition 2,0)
I played each track on different position on guitar neck and moved those tracks 10 -15 ms back and forward in time from rhythm section.
I wrote bass line in Cubase and so I did the drums. I wouldn’t call it programming because it was so simple.
The plan was to replace it with something better (Like Nico’s Pearl set)
VSTi for bass was Hypersonic but for string pads I used Edirol Orchestral and M1.
I draw everything manually ‘cause my keyboard was too big for hotel room.
Vocals are borrowed from the same guy who sung on “Room 52”.
He sent me just mp3 files to test it in my mix. We’ll retrack vocals ones more.
(I never met this guy in my life, by the way)
And I’m not staying at Room 52.
Room 52 is back in time when I lost my first house in the fire.
I dedicated my song “Water springs” to it.
I know everyone will think I am in some insurance forge business but how
could I possibly make the river grow so much and wild or started the war in the first case?
RayC:
Thank you for everything.
It’s just boring period in the hotel with two years old child.
But don’t feel sorry about us because we are doing fine.
My main equipment and PC are saved.
Only big heavy stuff is destroyed but I don’t need it for recording.
Erockrazor and ”lifes of fallacy”:
Thank you for listening and suggestions. I’ll consider revising.
David:
Thank you!
Interesting observation about tuning. Very good ear!
I was trying to find out what happened with it. I thought first it was something with mp3 compressing. Or maybe I played wrong some parts trying to do different voices. I’ll check all tracks again and let you know
Thank to all others who listened the song.
