I have two SE Electronics 2200A condensrer mics, I have had them about a year , they are great mics.

I was reading somewhere about Audio Technica AT2030 and have read some great reviews on them . the price is very much the same as the SE.

I am tempted to get one , has anyone had any experiance with the Audio T or even both?

I know the SE electronics 2200A had won awards and stuff.

Haven't heard of the Audio Technica AT2030...are you speaking of a 40xx series mic?

The SE2200A does not have the hi-end bump and amount of "air" that many low-cost imports try to impart. This can be a blessing when recording tenors, altos and sopranos. I'd suggest you check out the CAD M9 tube at $299. This would give you the smooth gentle hi-end rise of the SE2200A and the more airy sibilant (sibilant not in a bad way, though) hi-end of the M9 tube.
