SCSI or Line in?

This question is in reference to an FD-4, but I'm sure it applies to all devices that have SCSI connections. I am in the process of getting a new computer, and I was wondering if it would be better to transfer from the fd-4 to my computer through the scsi input as opposed to the line in. Might make a difference in my purchase decision.

The FD-4 cannot go from the SCSI out directly to a SCSI in on a computer. Unfortuately, Fostex has made that a feed that is only compatible for backup in their own proprietary language.
