Hi!

Yes, it is my 4. russian tube amp. My friends are laughing that I've been "endorsed by CCCP" :D

This thing rocks. At measely 350 bucks, 120Watts of point-to-point mastervolumed highgain terror!..
(2,93 for a tube-watt, beat that.:cool: )

I believe this is made after the "Red Bear"-era by Novik, as my Spetel-head is made before, in the beginnings of the company.
Black cloth-finish, grilles in front and back, looks quite menacing.

I don't know what's in the preamp, assumably 6n2p-ev, but read somewhere that the later Novik's could have 12ax7:s..
Power tubes are 6p3c-e, four of them.
It was delivered two powertubes attached and the other 2 packed separately, which is fine by me since 120watts is WAY loud! (bought used)

Sounds good enough!!.. It will be my gigging amp.
(if I can't get the Sovtek mig-50H out of the buzz/fuzz territory.)
The cleans are great if I'd need them, but as a metalhead the highgain-department is my consern.
TMB-tonestack is very responsive and has good range, so does the preamp-gain. Plenty of distortion, enough for my metal, albeit a tad on the fuzzy side, but good enough.

(sample: me and drummer rehearsing a new song for the band, zoom h4 on the floor:
)

As I said, the thing arrived straight to rehealsals, didn't have much time to experiment or tweak it, but on the other hand, I quickly found a decent sound from it.

I'm pretty happy with this one.:o

You should rewire the 6N2P-EV sockets so that you can use 12AX7/ECC83 tubes instead. That would allow for more tube substitutions giving you the opportunity to tweak the preamp tone.
