Got my m-35 last week. The owner couldnt find the manual (local pickup) so I ordered it from Tascam and should have it today. The seller is a good guy and offered to pay for the manual.
Anywho, I cleaned her all up after I used a forklift and 12 chains to get it in the basement. So now I have VU METERS which in all honesty is the reason I scored it.
Ran it through some simple channel strip set ups, etc., and it does have a nice clean warm sound. I normally use my Yamaha MG 16/6 mixer, and the difference in sound between the two is very different. I really like my Yamaha mixer as it is an organized simple mixer which does a nice job.
My question is does anyone know any cool setups, tricks etc., with the m-35? I can see how its main purpose seems to be as the mixer for a 40-4 , etc., reel to reel setups.
I really need the manual to get a grasp of its reasoning for its existence. But I was verry happy for $80.00. Definetly a good purchase. Eventually, I am hoping to get a 40-4 or something in the reel to reel range.
I will post a pic soon.
thanks all!
