Schecter C1 Classic

I played one at the 'Center' as well. Not too bad and very tricked out in the looks dept. for the money. Lt. Bob swears by them.
 
Yeah the look is cool. I've been playing a cheap shitty ibanez s470 for years so any upgrade will be cool. The price appeals to me because I could afford 1800 for the PRS----no more!. But buying a guitar for 7 and having money left over for say a new delta sound module or midi controller/synth---would be cool.
Lets not forget buying a decent recording program--I am using an old version of cool edit.

Since I am new to the home recording I am still trying to figure out what I need/want. There are many products and many ways to set stuff up
 
They've got a C1 listed in the back of the last Musician Friend for $499 - $200 off. What's the catch?
 
It probably isn't the same guitar---there are a number of c models.

Looked like the same one to me. Same model number. Exact same body. Same as the one listed for $699 in the main pages. Maybe a scratch and dent? Check it out. Might be a bargain.
 
It may not be on the website. It had a different order number from the other guitar in the catalog. Ask them about the one on the back pages of the catalog. Call em up.

For God's sake, don't buy a damn PRS. You could get a kick arse boutique guitar from any number of luthiers for that price. After playing one of those, i'm sure you'll realize that PRS is over-hyped and blows goats for quarters.
 
$$$ for $$$ in that range, Schecter kicks ass......very nice tones and smooth playing and very good looking also.....next time i catch one of Lt.Bob's gigs, Ill try to walk out with his.....:D

Finish? Snap that thing up and spray paint it green or purple. Nice guitar. If I weren't in the middle of a debt-paying-off spree, I would have had my master card out as soon as that catalog hit my house.
 
For what it's worth, I have a C-1 Elite and I love it. I have the black one. I like that it works for any type of music.
