Hello,

Im in the market for a Bass in the $500 range. I went to my local guitar shop and he had a few Fender P-Bass' and Jazzes. I used to own an Ibanez SR500 and really liked the action on it.

Well to the point, he had a Schecter Stiletto there for $359. I played it and it felt 10 times better than the Fenders. I liked the sound better too. It had less of the Rubber Bouncing Ball sound that I hate. The frets felt smooth all the way up.

My concern is that I know you pay more for better quality but this bass felt insanely well built.

I was wondering if anyone has one of these or if a friend does and how its held up. Electrically and physically.

Thanks.

Haven't heard anything bad about those, so IF you love how it plays and sounds go for it!

I would also reccomend trying out yamaha basses, they sound incredible and are built realy well for the price range.

go buy what you want if you like the way it feels and sounds. dont skimp on what you think would be fun or good to jam with. its all you.

Yeah, Im definitely all about what works for music, but I was more curious on the lastibility of the instrument. But for $350 you cant really go wrong for what youre getting.

THanks for the replies.

Soon to be Schecter owner in T-minus 4 hours :)

Havent tried their basses, but the guitars smoke anything $$$$ for $$$$ including Fender.....
